Er zijn relatief weinig struiken en bomen die het best gesnoeid kunnen worden in december. Dit heeft met name te maken met de vriesperiode die aan kan breken in deze wintermaand. Veel bomen en struiken kunnen dan invriezen, naar aanleiding van het snoeien van takken.
